56 Father’s Love

First place is reserved
For God’s loving heart
That thought paramount
First place is His part.

At the end of my days
I long to hear Him say,
“Well done, faithful servant,
“Enter My joy to stay.”

Still, not far behind this
Another love I entertain
A father’s love for his children,
And his bride does not wane.

Is this a contradiction?
A comparison not to be made?
Two separate thoughts
Not to be conveyed?

Or is this very Father’s love
For His children and His bride,
Indeed the greatest love story
And one told far and wide.

And like He loves each of us
So my dear ones I love you.
And now I better understand
This wondrous fact so true.
