60 Sleep Records Broken
While I quite enjoyed the opportunity to get out, it was far from a smooth ride. Even though this was a reasonably affluent area of Lima, the roads were pocked with potholes and speed bumps, the latter being so high in places that my wheelchair got hung on them.
By the time the ride was over, I was thoroughly exhausted and so longing to be back in my comfortable bed.
Unexpectedly, after a rough night in which I didn’t sleep one wink, the next morning I dropped off to sleep at 7:00 a.m. and slept all the way through till 10:30. It was incredible how strong I felt after that three and half hour straight sleep, the longest I’d had in seventeen days.
Unfortunately this was followed by a stretch of forty-six straight hours in which I did not sleep a wink.
A few days later, Dr. Arias brought home yet another medication that he thought would possibly provide me with some sleep.
Unbelievably, that night I slept straight through the night, seven-and-a-half hours glorious hours! I was dumbfounded to awake to sunshine, gratefully surprised to see from my watch that it was 7:00 a.m.
My first full night’s sleep in twenty-three days! Not only that, but after my morning wash I then dozed off for a further two hours of sleep.
Wow! This stuff was really working; I had to remember the name of it--Dormonid Midazolam.
